Following a successful pilot last year, Endemol Shine UK today announced that Tiger Aspect have been commissioned by CBBC for the new live action children’s comedy series Danny & Mick, 20×11’, to TX in 2019.

Aimed at 6-9 year olds, this laugh-out-loud physical comedy follows the antics of Danny and his very big little brother Mick. Danny is a dogsbody in a leisure centre where his brother, Mick, works as a security guard. Danny gets called upon to assist in all manner of jobs and Mick is always on hand to be as helpful as he can be. With knockabout clowning and slapstick comedy this show will appeal to a wide audience.

Featuring the physical comedy skills of real life half-brothers Danny Adams and Mick Potts, who have been entertaining audiences for years in the North East. They have been starring in panto in Newcastle for the last 13 years in the fastest selling show in the UK. Danny recently won best comic at the 2018 Great British Pantomime Awards for his role as Peter Pan at the Theatre Royal Newcastle. They also tour with their dad in their own variety show, Cirque Du Hilarious.

We’ve spent a long time making people laugh and honing our comedy antics ready for this big occasion and hope to be able to do it for many years to come with Tiger Aspect and CBBC”.
