Channel 5 & DSP make a return journey with ‘The Yorkshire Steam Railway: All Aboard’

Channel 5 signals green for a second series of primetime documentary ‘The Yorkshire Steam Railway: All Aboard’

Channel 5 and DSP, part of Endemol Shine Group, have today announced they have ordered a second series of observational documentary The Yorkshire Steam Railway: All Aboard, doubling the commission to 6×60’ episodes.

The series will again go behind the scenes of the world’s most popular heritage steam railway, The North Yorkshire Moors Railway. This time it will focus on the engineering skills required to keep a fleet of steam engines running, as well as the staff who work tirelessly to keep the railway on schedule and the customers happy.

Lucy Willis, commissioner at Channel 5, said “I was delighted with the success of the first series and I’m looking forward to a second series of wonderful nostalgia, engineering challenges and heartwarming stories all set against the stunning back drop of the North Yorkshire Moors.”
