Remarkable Television Commissioned for A Brand New Travel Show Wild Escapes
Hosted by Countryfile’s Anita Rani & Invictus Games champion JJ Chalmers
Remarkable, part of Endemol Shine Group UK, has been commissioned by BBC Two to make a brand new factual entertainment travel show Wild Escapes.
The programme will be hosted by Anita Rani and JJ Chalmers, and together they journey to Italy’s stunning Dolomite Mountains for a raucous and very memorable three-day adventure.
From dangling off the side of a 2300m peak to a seriously rustic “farmer’s spa” experience, the travel-mad duo will jump head first into the authentic Dolomites experience, ditching the standard tourist guides for an altogether more exhilarating and extreme 72 hour getaway.
Throughout the 1×30’ pilot Anita and JJ will show us the incredible hidden travel gems we all want to know about, packing as much as humanly possible into one mad-capped long weekend away.
Incredible food, brilliantly bizarre local traditions, riotous festivals, spectacular places to spend the night… our travel companions will blaze a lightning trail across the mountains and valleys in pursuit of the ultimate Dolomites mini adventure.
You may think the holiday of a lifetime would take months and cost a fortune, but in this programme Anita and JJ will show us that’s anything but the case. Follow their lead and any armchair adventurer can be out in the wilds doing the real thing – and much closer to home than we ever imagined.
Executive Producer, Patrick Furlong said: “We’re thrilled this exciting new format is coming to BBC Two. Holiday ‘mini adventures’ are a definite trend and in this programme Anita and JJ will show you the amazing things possible at the end of a cheap short-hop flight”.
RTS award winner Patrick Furlong is the Executive Producer and the programme was commissioned by Catherine Catton at the BBC.
