Tiger Aspect has restructured its entertainment team following the commission of several new projects this year including Host the Week (Channel 4), Armchair Detectives (BBC One), Streetmate (Channel 4) and Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father  (Netflix, a Cave Bear co –production).

Richard Ackerman, award winning Executive Producer and formally non scripted commissioner at Sky, joins as Creative Director of Entertainment. This newly created role will oversee the whole entertainment strategy and will report directly to Ben Cavey and Will Gould who became Joint MDs of Tiger Aspect earlier this year. Richard’s production credits include The 11 O’Clock Show, The Friday Night Project and Alan Carr: Chatty Man. While at Sky he commissioned Bring the Noise, Harry Hill’s Tea Time and The Russell Howard Hour amongst others. He joins the company with immediate effect.

Joe Evans becomes Director of Development reporting directly to Richard. Joe is currently Head of Development at Tiger Aspect, having joined alongside Senior Development Producer Carly Brooks in 2015 from Thames. During this time their credits include Streetmate (Channel 4), Host the Week (Channel 4) and Armchair Detectives (BBC One). Joe’s production credits include Coach Trip (Channel 4), Dating in the Dark (Sky Living) and Prized Apart (BBC One).

Avril Spary co-created and produced Murder in Successville (BBC Three). After starting her career at ITV Productions as a development trainee, she joined Tiger Aspect in 2009. As well as discovering a wealth of new comedy talent, Avril has played a key role in developing a wide range of programmes including I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse (BBC Three), Drunk History UK (Comedy Central) and Crackanory (DAVE) along with a raft of exciting upcoming commissions.

Carly Brooks, Senior Development Producer, will now take up Series Producer roles on both Host the Week and Armchair Detective.

Ben Cavey, Joint Managing Director said: “Tiger Aspect has become well known for its original and inventive approach to entertainment with shows such as Crackanory, Murder in Successville and Drunk Histories, and it’s testament to the ingenuity of the team that we are growing at this rate. I think the team have proved that they don’t only come up with the ideas but can deliver on them, both in terms of production and talent. Richard’s brilliant track record in entertainment speaks for itself, he brings vast experience from both the commissioner and producer side and together with Joe, Carly and Avril, I think we have the best team in the business.”

Richard Ackerman said; “I’m delighted to be working with Ben and all the team at Tiger Aspect and can’t wait to get going. The development team there are phenomenally talented and creatively the best in the business, so it’s a privilege for me to be working with them. ”

In addition Susy Price joins as Executive Producer for Streetmate and Sebastian Grant joins as Executive Producer across various new development projects.
