Sky original comedy Hitmen starring Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc will return to Sky One and NOW TV next year for a second series.

Hitmen, a Tiger Aspect production, is a comedy about two best friends Fran (Perkins) and Jamie (Giedroyc) trying to make their way in the world with only each other to rely on. They also just happen to kill people for a living. But this time around, a new friend causes a rift between Fran and Jamie, ultimately jeopardising their double act dynamic.

Sue Perkins said:

“Couldn’t be happier that I’m back in the van with my 9mm and best chum.”

Mel Giedroyc added:

“I am literally gagging to get back in the van again and do what Sue and I do best – sit in a van and chat a lot. The opportunity for two perimenopausal women from Surrey to get back into the action comedy hot seat is a) a rarity and b) just too exciting. I might have to go and lie down……”

Hitmen is created and written by Joe Parham and Joe Markham. The series is a Tiger Aspect, part of Banijay UK, production in association with Sky Studios. The second series has been commissioned by Zai Bennett, Managing Director Content, Sky and Jon Mountague, Sky Studios Director of Comedy. The series will be executive produced by Tilusha Ghelani, Commissioning editor from Sky. NBCU Global Distribution handle international sales.
